By train:

The most convenient way to reach Grindelwald and, above all, the Hotel Derby. Thanks to its location right next to Grindelwald Dorf railway station, you are only a few steps away from your holiday destination upon arrival.

International trains from over 12 countries travel to and through Switzerland. The slightly faster Intercity trains will take you quickly to Interlaken Ost, either directly or with a change in Bern. At Interlaken Ost, change to the Berner Oberland Railway towards Grindelwald. Pay attention to the announcements and the signs on the outside of the train. In Zweilütschinen, the carriages are separated, with the front section continuing to Lauterbrunnen and the rear section continuing on to Grindelwald.

You don’t have to worry about lugging your luggage around. SBB will collect your luggage and take it directly to the Hotel Derby Grindelwald. And all this from just CHF 44.00 for up to 4 pieces of luggage per journey within Switzerland.

By car:

Grindelwald can also be reached quickly by car. Please note that we have very few parking spaces at the hotel and therefore cannot reserve them in advance.

However, in order to provide parking for as many of our guests as possible, we ask that you leave your car keys at reception upon arrival. Our porters will be happy to take care of parking your vehicles. We recommend carpooling or travelling by train whenever possible.

The nearest public car park, “EigerPlus”, is only 200 metres from the hotel.

Alternatively, parking spaces can be reserved online in advance at the Grund car park terminal, costing approximately CHF 15.00 for 24 hours.
